Divine Purpose On Shavuous

How are You Fulfilling G-d’s Purpose for You?

Greetings &  Blessings!

Have you ever saved something that you really love
but can’t wear because it doesn’t quite fit?
I have a very special piece of jewelry, an heirloom
from my grandmother. It’s especially precious to me
because she gave it to me as a gift when she was alive.

She even had my initials engraved on the back of it.
It’s a beautiful locket in the shape of a Torah scroll.
You can open it on little hinges to see the ten
commandments concealed inside.

But for many years I never wore it.
It always seemed to me to be so HUGE -
much to big for me to feel comfortable wearing it.
I put it away and didn’t look at it again for a very long time.
Then, as I went through life’s journey, and began
to search for true spirituality and my Divine purpose,
(more about that amazing journey in a future letter!)
a surprising thing happened.

When I began to study the extraordinary spirituality
that is concealed in the secrets of the Torah,
the Jewish heritage I had inherited as a child
and then rejected, began to be a better fit for me.
As I began to observe the mitzvahs of authentic Torah,
it felt huge to me, much like that heirloom locket.

Then one day, I was going through things in a drawer
and discovered the Torah locket.
I put it on and, you know what?
It didn’t seem very big anymore at all!

We live in a down-to-earth, mundane, material world.
The spiritual essence of things is hidden from us.
We go through life,
trying to do the best we can with what we have,
but without knowing the true heavenly purpose
of our existence, we often stumble and fall.
Sometimes, we even forget that we have a purpose!
And then when we remember, it often feels WAY too big
and overwhelming.

Luckily, when that happens, we have an awesome blueprint
to guide us in building and rebuilding our lives little by little,
step by step – reminding us in great detail how to return
to our true purpose. Guess what it is!
The Torah – and we have some incredible life-giving energy
to tap into this month – see Soul Tips below.

How are you fulfilling G-d’s purpose for you?

Holy Sparks Inspirational Quotes

Heard From Rabbi Manis Friedman

“Torah tells us that God came down
to Mount Sinai to ask us to be partners
with Him in Creation.
Let’s bless each other success
in the most amazing partnership!”

“Let’s not wish each other a day on the beach.
Let’s not wish each other sunshine every day.
Lets’ wish each other success in fulfilling God’s purpose.”

“In his infinite kindness God chose to need little, tiny us.”

“Let’s wish each other a meaningful life!”

Holy Sparks Soul Tip:

We are now in the Jewish month of Sivan.
On the anniversary of an event, the spiritual energy
that was infused by G-d into that event is at its strongest.

From Saturday evening to Monday night, Sivan 6-7
(May 26-28) is the Jewish holiday of Shavuot which
comes exactly 50 days after Passover.
On this day, G-d gave the Torah to the Jewish people
on Mt. Sinai, 3,324 years ago.

The giving of the Torah was far more than
an historical event. It was a far-reaching spiritual event -
one that touched the Jewish soul then and for all time.
The month of Sivan is infused with this powerful joy
of receiving the awesome gift of the Torah.

Each year, Shavuos contains a very intense
spiritual energy to reawaken and strengthen
our special relationship with G-d.

How do we tap into this energy and pour it into our lives?
On Shavuous we yearn for the Infinite.
But how can we puny, little finite creatures attain the infinite?
By developing ourselves in the world of the finite.
How? Through studying Torah.
Torah develops and strengthens our character
to be able to receive the infinite.

When we study Torah, even on the simplest level,
we link our minds and hearts with G-d’s true purpose
in creating the world.

~ Adapted from “Living With Moshiach,” and “L’Chaim” ~

So, reach for the infinite!
G-d needs you – yes, YOU,
to fulfill your Divine purpose with your special talents
to make this world a little bit happier and holier!

Your Holy Sparks Soul Adventure

Have a Five Minute Visit With G-d Today.

Make an appointment for five minutes in your busy
schedule today to visit with the Master of the Universe.
Catch G-d up with what’s happening with you, where
you’re holding spiritually, and what you’ve been doing
to fulfill G-d’s purpose for you.

If you’re not sure what is G-d’s purpose for you,
ask the Master of the Universe and the Creator of You
to make it clearer for you.

Then sit for a moment and listen
to that itty bitty, wee little small voice deep
inside you for G-d’s answer.

As you move through the rest of your day,
watch and listen for G-d’s messengers
giving you a deeper, richer, fuller answer.

May you be blessed with success
in fulfilling your Divine purpose!

Have a happy, healthy, & holy Shabbos -
and a meaningful receiving of the Torah!

Shalom and again Shalom!! This is my first time replying to Holy Sparks although I’ve avidly received and ‘bathed’ in the beauty and spiritual enrichment of this website for more than 3 years, and someday I hope to purchase from your virtual store. Firstly, I must confess that I am not of Jewish decent nor am I a devout follower of the Jewish faith per say. I am actually a born again believer of the Christian faith. And here at this juncture, I hope not to lose your willingness to continue your email posting of Holy Sparks to me! Although I’m not priviledged to be of your people and your immense depth of enlightenment and understanding of the Torah and the cultural meaning of G-d’s word to you, it is as though I cling to your skirts to partake in our Creator’s revelations to you! In the English translation of my Bible are the words of the Torah, what we call the Old Testament, but in understanding the nuances for insight, I have only glimpses of the meaning of the significance of that history. Though I fully embrace that Jesus (of the New Testament)is my Messiah and I’ve had many encounters on a spiritual plain to confirm my belief in him, I still hold fast that I am somehow adopted into the family of faith in G-d, your G-d, indead THE ONLY TRUE G-D, all “others” being deception of the spiritual forces opposing our G-d which hope to disuade all of creation away from faith and hope in Him; I so deeply love and appreciate you all, G-d’s chosen ones, and all that you have endured and indeed survived throughout all the history of mankind!!! I observe what you endure today and I marvel at how our Heavenly Father has perpetually gathered you to His heart all along the way and has revealled so much wisdom to you. And I glean the crumbs of understanding from the table of all the feasts you have with and in honour to Him!!! Like Ruth was to Naomi, I’m adopted but through my hope in faith in your G-d. But I guess I come through another doorway, that of Jesus’s blood, as it has had to be for the Gentiles, such as I am. I pray ferverently for you, my ‘older brothers’, and I am blessed by G-d’s annointing on you, such like that which drips from Aaron’s beard onto a faithful donkey beneath him!! You are part of His inspiration to me, although I cannot deny His revelations and miracles toward me when I also pray through my faith as I have explained somewhat. Please continue with me on your list of recipients, and know that you are further boyed and guarded by my determined intercessions (everytime I walk my lovable dog in our nearby woods where no other people can see or hear me and also in my heart when I hear of nasty news in your regard, here and abroad). You’ve asked of G-d’s purpose in me and this I can say: I am an intersessor in prayer for certain; I have seen actual physical miracles from G-d, but not like blind eyes being made to see – instead like infections and fevers removed, spiritual oppressions broken, psychological fears disolved. I take no credit but to give our Master of the Univers Creator all the glory!!! It’s an amazing and humbling priviledge! I pray when I spiritually feel Him directing me to do so. I often don’t get to see His answers, I just know I am to fight in the spiritual battle alongside of the ones He directs me to pray for/with. I sense a fantastic day of reconciliation is coming to all people of faith in Him, but especially for you his Chosen. I am a nurses aid (PSW) by profession and often get to pray for the frail and dying in my care and often never ‘see’ the results of those prayers but I sense His emmense love for those individuals so I’m certain of His purpose for me each day. Yet He can change His plans for me and I’m open and seeking always. I only so wish to see that my husband and 5 children could love G-d as deeply as I do or moreso even. They see my faults and inconsistancies, and I sense their scoff at the simplicity of faith, although my husband used to believe just as I do. The like the world’s philosophies and challenge me often. I can not even talk with my husband as I am writing to you, it’s too poetical and spiritual. So if I can ask of you for one thing it is to also pray for my family, purhaps for protection and a holy revelation of who G-d really is and His love for each of them. Sorry to take so long! Time to ‘come back to Earth’ and paint a room and walk the dog and pay some bills and plan for supper. I thank G-d for this beatiful sunny day!!! And your insightful emails!
