kink in the line, squeezing off the water pressure. I un-kinked the
hose, and wouldn’t you know, I got a soaking – right in the face!
You would have laughed if you were watching me.Sometimes, pressure in our lives squeezes off the life-giving flow
of our talents and the joy of fulfilling our purpose, just like the
kink in the hose. When we spend some time looking at what
situations and thoughts are putting kinks in our happiness, we
can unblock them, renewing the flow of life to our Soul Powers.

This Month’s Soul Tip
The time we are in, from the 17th of the month of Tammuz
to Tish B’Av (July 19-August 9, 2011) is known as, The
Three Weeks. It is an observation of the cycle of life of
the destruction that precedes renewal – a rebirth of the soul.
On the 17th of Tammuz, the walls of Jerusalem were breached,
and on the 9th of Av, the Holy Temple was destroyed and the
exile of Israel began. These two days are observed as fast days
by the Jewish people, and the entire three week period has been
a semi-mourning period of our people for 2,000 years.
If you are feeling a little sad for no reason, you are right in synch
with the times. The Three Weeks are a time to be cautious,
introspective, and to make an extra effort to get closer to the
Master of the universe.
May we be blessed that this year, instead of being a day of
mourning, Tisha B’Av will be a day of joy and dancing,
as we greet Moshiach in the Third Holy Temple!
Here’s your
Soul Adventure for today:
Take out your colored pens and two sheets of paper.
Draw a big circle on each piece of paper (it doesn’t have to be perfect).
On the inside of the circle on one paper, sketch or write words
randomly that describe situations, character traits, and other things
that you don’t want in your life anymore.
When you are done, rip the paper in half!
On the second paper, sketch or scatter words that describe new
situations, character traits, and other things that you do want in
your life. Hang up this page where you will see it every day to
remind you of how you want to change.
