The main purpose of self-reflection is to lead us to inspired action -
to make this whole world a dwelling place for G-d – each of us
with our unique set of talents and circumstances. But how do we
translate and reveal the infinite essence of our hearts and souls
into practical deeds when we seem to have so many limitations?

Did you know that liberation is actually the spiritual energy of this month
(the Hebrew month of Tammuz)? There is a special power in this month
to reveal who and what we truly are. We are granted this special ability
so that we can use the pressures and stress of our lives to arouse the
powers of our soul. Then we can use our Soul Powers to boost our
service of G-d through our everyday actions.

This Month’s Soul Tip

Last week was Independence Day in America. This Thursday,

July 14 (12 Tammuz), is a special Chassidic holiday, called

the Festival of Liberation, celebrating the birthday and release

from Soviet prison of the previous Lubavitcher Rebbe,

Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Schneerson, who was arrested for the

“crime” of spreading Torah and mitzvahs and keeping Judaism

alive in Russia. We can connect to the spiritual energy of this

month by learning Torah, and doing additional good deeds and

charity. Be sure to spend a little extra time talking to G-d with

a heartfelt request to bring the Geulah – the ultimate liberation

and the special era of peace and abundance we’ve all been

waiting and working toward!

simple sketches. Use your word collage as a meditation tool.

The next time you talk to G-d, ask for help with each one.
